Honesty first: what you should know
Natural wood is a living material that responds to its surroundings:
- It needs proper sealing. Poor sealing means absorbed moisture and warping. This is the whole critical point.
- It is the highest price bracket among our seven materials.
- It does not suit every position. Directly under the sink we recommend a more water-resistant material — even inside a timber kitchen.
And there is one advantage no other material has: a scratch can be repaired. Light sanding and a fresh coat bring the surface back to what it was — whereas a scratch in acrylic or laminate is permanent.
